How to prepare ginger tea

The ginger root is rinsed to remove impurities and discoloration. We chop it into thin pieces and add 2 tablespoons to a kettle of fresh water

Once boiling, simmer for 10-15 minutes on low.  10–15The tea gets stronger and spicier as it simmers longer.

After straining, we add 1 tablespoon of lime or lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup.
