7 Yoga Poses to Help Your Body Detox

1. Seated Twist

People often think that twisting poses are good for detoxing, but it's probably not possible to twist so much that toxins want to jump right out of your liver.

2. Chair Pose Twist

Start in Chair Pose, putting your big toes together and making sure you can see your toes in front of your knees. 

3. Forward Fold with Belly Massage

In Forward Folds, we want to put pressure and compression on the abdomen, and a mini-massage with our hands is a great way to help get things moving.

4. Sphinx with a Rolled-Up Blanket

This pose, along with other belly-down heart-openers, is one of my favorites when I'm feeling fat and slow.

5. Three-Legged Down Dog

Start in Downward Dog with your hands shoulder-width apart and your fingers spread wide. Your feet should be hip-width apart. 

6. Wide-Leg Forward Fold

Another great inversion for beginner to advanced yogis that doubles as a Forward Fold.

7. Legs Up the Wall

This healing pose is both an inversion and a chance to slow down your breathing and calm your mind.
