5 Disastrous Side Effects of Drinking Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has some side effects and is true if consumed in large doses.

1. Digestion issues: Drinking too much ACV can cause indigestion, acid reflux, and heartburn. The high acidity of ACV can irritate your oesophagus and stomach lining.

2. Low Potassium: Hypokalemia can result from excessive ACV consumption. In severe situations, low potassium levels can cause muscle weakness, cramps, and irregular heartbeats, which can be fatal.

3. Tooth enamel erosion: ACV is highly acidic, which can dissolve tooth enamel and cause tooth sensitivity, cavities, and discoloration.

4. Bone Health: Extreme ACV use may reduce bone mineral density, according to certain research. This can cause osteoporosis and fractures.

5. Blood Sugar Variations: ACV may help regulate blood sugar levels for some people, but too much can cause hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia, especially if you have diabetes or take medication for it.
