Check the available spares
Run an aggr status command with the –s option to check the number of spares available on the system. This should list the amount of disks available in both pools.

Creating a mirrored aggregate
Option 1 – Create a 32 bit mirrored aggregate
The option is –m to create mirrored disks. In this example, I want to explicitly create a 32 bit aggregate (which is the default). If this need to be a 64 bit aggregate specify –B 64 instead. The raid group size is 14 and the number of disks to be used for the aggregate is 22. The –n option lists the disks that will be used and the aggregate will not be created. Alternatively the aggregate can be created directly specifying just the number of disks or a certain set of disks.
Note: When creating a mirrored aggregate, it uses the same number of disks for the mirrored aggregate. In this case, there will be a total of 44 disks used with 22 disks from each spare pool. Ensure that the disks are available in both spare pools.
